Hi Kyra,
Just checking in to see how you are doing. How was your Christmas? I hope you are feeling well. I like your pictures with the pilots standing by the jet air plane. I love jets! I wanted to also wish you a Happy New Year!

From time to time I will also try to write something interesting.

Aloha Kyra.....Aunty was thinking about you and glad to see and hear that things are going well for you and the family. You truly are my hero....so much courage and strength in a tiny little girl. You have had so many blessings through out your battle.....so many wonderful experiences that you and your family deserve. Some experiences that other people will only have to dream about. Aunty Jeannette prays for you all the time and God says all his Angels are watching over you. Love You! Take Care & Come visit us in Colorado Springs anytime!!

Aloha Kyra my name is Kimberlee and I have a 15 yr old daughter who has chronic pain/fibromyalgia and myofascial pain disorder. I was wondering if your parents know of any support group in Hawaii for families that have a child with chronic pain. Many Blessings to you sweetie and may they find a cure very soon. God Bless you and your Ohana

Hi Kyra! My name is Pam. I am a friend of your Dad and used to work with him at the airport with TSA. I recently ran into your Dad and asked him how his beautiful family was doing and he told me about you and your courageous battle with juvenile dermatomyositis. I think you are the most bravest girl in the entire world. My family and I will continue to pray for you....Love You and your Family

Hi Kyra and family,
I met you in the Pirates store (Pieces of Eight) in Disneyland. I think of you often and hope that you are continuing to improve. I'm pleased to know that your visit to Disneyland was extremely enjoyable and happy!
Love and prayers,

you don't know me but I came across your site and read kyra's story. What a brave girl! My 2.5 year old daughter was diagnosed a few months ago with dermatomyositis. We live in Minnesota but I grew up in Honolulu and my parents, sister aunts and uncles all still live there. We spent a month this past summer in Hawaii and are sad we aren't going back this summer as sophie is in treatment but it's nice to know of another little girl in Hawaii going through the same thing. Perhaps we could meet up when we are in the islands again. While we hAve received excellent care and treatment in Minneapolis we dearly miss having a support system nearby as we continue this journey. We will add Kyra to our prayers
